Family Labor Day Picnic 2015

The 2015 Labor Day Family Picnic turned out much better than expected.  43 businesses, Local unions or districts; non-profit initiatives sponsored the event. We were able to host several events in which were a success to the picnic.  Angela Beasley’s Puppet People captivated the kids with face paintings.  The waterslide always goes over well.  Music by Phil Meyers.  We had several events for the kids.  The day ended with a friendly water balloon fight amongst the help.

Christmas for Military Families 2014

For the 9th straight year the CLC affiliates along with the Carpenters Local 256 shared the reason for the season in December by providing Christmas for 60 children from 15 military families. Each child received gifts and an outfit. We also gave a $100 Kroger card to each family so they may have a Christmas dinner to celebrate the holidays. The "CLC elves" shopped for the 60 children and WJCL News covered the wrapping party on December 18th.
