Newly Elected Officers & Delegates

Congratulations to our newly elected officers -  Jerome Irwin, Sr as Vice President and Ike White as Trustee.

We would also like to congratulate Amnesti Jett and Caroline Robinson from SFT Local 2069 as new Delegates to the SRCLC.   Both Amnesti and Caroline will be on the “SRCLC’s Young Leaders of the Future” Board to help get younger members more involved in our labor movement.

Anniversaries can be celebratory or somber. Today we celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and it is the kind of anniversary in which we hail the success of the act, while also acknowledging the deficiencies in our democracy that make the full act necessary.
